Home care in
Mansfield, CT.
From Four Corners down to Mansfield Center, we are now taking families across Mansfield, and since our only office is in Hartford, we would rather be plain about what that means.

The closest hospital to Mansfield is Windham Hospital on Mansfield Avenue in Willimantic, the city Mansfield Center borders, about 15 minutes by road from the town hall on clear roads. Its neighbor on Valley Street, Vanderman Place, takes short-term rehab stays. Inside Mansfield, the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation on Warren Circle offers short-term rehab before people go home. If your parent is in a Hartford hospital instead, the discharge date is still worth passing on early. The recovery plan belongs to the hospital and the rehab team; what a caregiver can carry is the rest of the day: meals, bathing and dressing, reminders, laundry, errands, and company through the hours when family cannot be there.
Mansfield is really a set of villages spread across a rural town. Storrs and the university are the largest of them. Mansfield Center lies to the south toward Willimantic, Mansfield Hollow is another of the old villages, Mansfield Depot is where Route 44 meets Route 32, and Four Corners is where Storrs Road, Route 195, crosses Route 44. Between them are farms, state park land and rural roads, so two Mansfield addresses can be a real drive apart, and a caregiver would put the grocery run and the errands into one trip rather than several short ones. In winter the driveway and the front steps have to be clear before anything useful can happen inside, and that is worth settling before the first snow. Rolling Hills on Middle Turnpike is an age-restricted manufactured-home community. A manufactured home usually keeps its living space on one floor, which leaves the entry steps and the path from the car as the things to check on the first visit.
The town's senior services are grouped together off Maple Road. The Mansfield Senior Center at 303 Maple Road is open on weekdays, runs meal programs, and gives Mansfield residents 55 and over free, accessible rides to medical appointments and errands, so a caregiver's day can be planned around a lunch there or a ride the town already provides instead of repeating it. Juniper Hill Village on Silo Circle, with cottage-style apartments, a main building and one hot meal a day in its dining room, and Wright's Village on Wright's Way are both close by. For other trips, the Windham Region Transit District's Dial-A-Ride covers Mansfield and has to be booked ahead. If your parent lives at Juniper Hill or Wright's Village, mention it early, so the visits can be built around what the building and the town already offer.
Getting to Mansfield
Mansfield's town hall, the Audrey P. Beck Municipal Building on South Eagleville Road in Storrs, is 26.5 miles from our Park Street office, about 39 minutes on clear roads by way of I-84, I-384 and Route 44. That is a proper drive rather than a local run, and rush-hour traffic or an address at the far edge of town will add to it.

Questions from Mansfield families.
Hartford is nearly 40 minutes away. Do you really cover Mansfield, and how soon could someone start?
Yes, Mansfield is one of the towns now open to new families, and the honest answer on timing is that it depends. Our only office is on Park Street in Hartford and we are new to this part of Connecticut, so before visits begin we may need to recruit and introduce a caregiver who can make the drive reliably. On the first call we will give you a realistic start date and tell you which hours we can cover. Request a free consultation on (860) 393-1055 and we will start there.
How soon can a caregiver start in Mansfield?
Mansfield is newer ground for us, so we do not quote a start time before we have talked. On the first call we will tell you plainly how soon a caregiver can be in place for the hours you need, and if we cannot cover them, we will say so and point you to someone who can.
What does in-home care cost in Mansfield?
Cost depends on the hours and level of care. Most families pay privately; long-term care insurance, VA benefits and Medicaid can help. You get a clear quote on your first call.
Can you provide 24-hour or live-in care in Mansfield?
Live-in and around-the-clock care are part of what we offer, from one dedicated caregiver. For Mansfield, tell us the hours you need on the first call and we will tell you honestly whether we can staff them.
Are your caregivers screened and insured?
Every caregiver is background-checked, bonded, insured and trained, and supervised by our Care Coordinator. If the match is not right, we re-match at no charge.
