In-home care in
Fairfield County.

Golden Touch is available to serve families in Fairfield County, and since it is the farthest part of Connecticut from our Hartford office, we will be plain about what that means.

A caregiver pushing a wheelchair along a sunlit path

Fairfield County is the southwest corner of Connecticut, taking in Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk and Danbury, four of the state's larger cities, and each city and town there runs its own senior services. The hospitals people come home from here include Bridgeport Hospital on Grant Street and St. Vincent's Medical Center on Main Street, both in Bridgeport, Norwalk Hospital on Maple Street, Stamford Hospital at One Hospital Plaza and Danbury Hospital on Hospital Avenue. After a discharge, the help we offer is non-medical and practical: meals, bathing and dressing, reminders, errands, company, respite for a worn-out family, and live-in care.

Here is what we can and cannot promise. Our one office is at 696 Park Street in Hartford, more than an hour from Bridgeport and more than an hour and a half from Stamford, and we are new to Fairfield County. Sending a caregiver down from Hartford for every visit is rarely workable at that distance, so care here depends on finding the right caregiver who can reach your parent's home reliably, and for some families a live-in arrangement is the more practical fit. What we can promise is a straight answer: on the first call we will tell you whether we can staff the hours you need and how soon, and if we cannot do it well, we will say so rather than keep you waiting.

Getting to Fairfield County

Bridgeport City Hall on Lyon Terrace, in the county's largest city, is 52.3 miles from our Park Street office, about 70 minutes on clear roads. Danbury City Hall is about 73 minutes away out I-84, Norwalk City Hall about 88 minutes, and the Stamford Government Center about 101 minutes, so the far corner of the county is more than an hour and a half from Hartford before any traffic.

Questions from Fairfield County families.

Fairfield County is a long way from Hartford. Can you really help my parent in Bridgeport or Stamford?

It depends, and we would rather be honest than promise. We are available to serve Fairfield County, but on clear roads Bridgeport is about 70 minutes from our Hartford office and Stamford about 100, and we are new to the area. Whether we can help comes down to finding the right caregiver for your parent's hours and address. Tell us both when you call, and you will get a clear yes or no on staffing, with a realistic timeline if it is yes. Request a free consultation on (860) 393-1055.

How soon can a caregiver start in Fairfield County?

Fairfield County is newer ground for us, so we do not quote a start time before we have talked. On the first call we will tell you plainly how soon a caregiver can be in place for the hours you need, and if we cannot cover them, we will say so and point you to someone who can.

Which towns in Fairfield County do you cover?

We do not list individual towns in Fairfield County yet. Tell us where your family is and we will tell you plainly whether we can reach you.

Are your caregivers background-checked?

Yes. Every Golden Touch caregiver is background-checked, bonded, insured and trained, and supervised by our Care Coordinator.
