Home care in
Enfield, CT.
From Thompsonville on the Connecticut River out to Hazardville and Scitico, right up to the Massachusetts line, Enfield is one of the towns we are now taking families in.

No hospital stands inside Enfield. Depending on where your parent was taken, the stay may have been over the state line at Baystate Medical Center on Chestnut Street in Springfield, down I-91 at Saint Francis Hospital on Woodland Street or Hartford Hospital on Seymour Street, or east at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs. In town, people also come home after a stay at Parkway Pavilion on Enfield Street. Wherever it was, a discharge date passed to us early is the most useful thing to have. After that, a caregiver's work is the everyday kind: meals, bathing and dressing, reminders, laundry, errands, and someone there through the hours the family cannot cover.
Enfield is several places joined into one town. Thompsonville, the town center on the east bank of the river, grew up around the carpet mills, and the housing built for the mills' Scottish workers still stands, along with old Victorian houses on Pearl Street. Hazardville grew around the gunpowder works in Powder Hollow on the Scantic River, with newer suburban streets running east to the Somers line, and Green Manor is a neighborhood of winding roads and cul-de-sacs. An old mill-era house in Thompsonville and a newer house on a cul-de-sac make for very different days, so the plan for each starts with a look at the house itself.
The Enfield Senior Center at 299 Elm Street serves a lunch several days a week for people 60 and over, reserved ahead by phone, and a caregiver can plan the day around getting there. The town's Dial-A-Ride takes residents 60 and over, and residents with disabilities, to appointments, grocery shopping and errands, and visits can be timed around those rides. The Enfield Housing Authority runs ground-level elderly and disabled apartments at Woodside Park, Windsor Court and Ella Grasso Manor, and the Mark Twain Congregate Living Center at 110 South Road, where a resident services coordinator helps residents arrange outside help. If your parent lives in one of these, we would work alongside what the building offers.

Questions from Enfield families.
We are right on the Massachusetts line. Will you really come this far north?
Yes. Enfield is one of the towns now open to new families, and Enfield Town Hall is about 28 minutes up I-91 from our Park Street office on clear roads. Because we are new to the town, the right caregiver for your parent's hours may still need to be found, so we will be clear on the first call about when visits could realistically start and which hours we can cover. Request a free consultation on (860) 393-1055.
How soon can a caregiver start in Enfield?
Enfield is newer ground for us, so we do not quote a start time before we have talked. On the first call we will tell you plainly how soon a caregiver can be in place for the hours you need, and if we cannot cover them, we will say so and point you to someone who can.
What does in-home care cost in Enfield?
Cost depends on the hours and level of care. Most families pay privately; long-term care insurance, VA benefits and Medicaid can help. You get a clear quote on your first call.
Can you provide 24-hour or live-in care in Enfield?
Live-in and around-the-clock care are part of what we offer, from one dedicated caregiver. For Enfield, tell us the hours you need on the first call and we will tell you honestly whether we can staff them.
Are your caregivers screened and insured?
Every caregiver is background-checked, bonded, insured and trained, and supervised by our Care Coordinator. If the match is not right, we re-match at no charge.
